I wrote this poem after realizing that I cared for a lover more than I'd like to admit. But after seeing how I react whenever my phone vibrates (hoping it's that person) I decided to tell it.

Butterflies

© Sasha Richarda

I feel butterflies
Floating inside
Whenever my phone vibrates
My mind whispers your name
Then it’s revealed as you
And my heart does the same
But instead of whispering it screams
I hope this isn’t a fantasy
Yet I’m thankful that instead of a nightmare it’s a dream
I cannot wait to feel the genuine ecstasy
I’m waiting for you to move me like you’d promised
The minute I leave you, it’s you I miss
We should engage in more passionate kiss-es
I want you to express more affection toward me
So I’d be able to hold on with a tight fist
